The recent floods that affected Slovenia have also impacted certain parts of Ljubljana and the broader Central Slovenia region. However, the majority of the destination remains safe for visiting. The wider city center, where the most popular tourist attractions are located, was not affected by the floods, and the same applies to the larger part of the Central Slovenia region.
Tourist sites like Terme Snovik, Arboretum Volčji Potok, Bogenšperk Castle, Županova jama, and Zdravilni gaj Tunjice healing resort as well as the centre of Kamnik continue to operate smoothly.
On Thursday, August 31, 2023, the state road from Stahovica to Kamniška Bistrica reopened, making the popular Velika Planina accessible once again. Additionally, the cable car to Velika Planina is operating on its regular schedule. Please exercise caution and adhere to the modified traffic signals on certain sections of the road in Kamniška Bistrica.
