Tourism is an important economic sector that creates numerous jobs, opens business opportunities, and enriches life in the city as a whole. At the same time, it is also a source of dedicated funds that support a wide range of events, projects, and tourism infrastructure — all of which benefit residents as well. Tourism enriches Ljubljana and the wider Central Slovenia region, making it greener, more vibrant, more connected, and more innovative … ultimately more welcoming for both residents and visitors.

The strategic direction of Ljubljana is accessibility for people with disabilities. In an effort to make Ljubljana's tourist offerings more accessible to them, two electric attachments for wheelchairs are available for free rental on Adamič-Lundrovo Embankment.
