Rules for Organized Group Visits to Ljubljana Town Hall
29 Jun 2026
As of 23 June 2026, updated rules for organized group visits to Ljubljana Town Hall have come into effect. Their purpose is to ensure a smooth and pleasant visitor experience in the atrium and exhibition spaces, reduce congestion in passageways, minimize noise associated with larger groups, maintain access to exhibitions for residents and individual visitors, and ensure an uninterrupted working environment for the staff of the City of Ljubljana.

An organized group accompanied by a licensed tourist guide may consist of no more than 25 visitors. School groups are limited to the size of a single school class and must be accompanied by their teachers or other supervisors, as well as a licensed tourist guide.
A visit by an organized group may last no longer than 30 minutes. To avoid congestion, excessive noise, or disruption to staff, other visitors, official protocol routes, and access to exhibition areas, guides are requested to provide their commentary before entering or after leaving the Town Hall, rather than inside the atrium.
Only one organized group accompanied by a tourist guide may be present in the atrium at any one time. If the atrium is occupied, the next group must wait outside without obstructing the entrance, passageways, or public space. The use of loudspeakers, megaphones, or any other sound amplification devices is not permitted.
While on the premises, the group must follow the instructions of the security staff and Town Hall personnel. The guide, supervisor, or other responsible person must ensure that the group complies with these visiting rules and does not obstruct entrances, stairways, passageways, access to exhibition areas, staff, other visitors, or the activities taking place within the Town Hall.
These rules apply equally to all organized groups and all tourist guides.
