Sitar 1920 is located in a centuries-old master craft workshop with a rich history, where friends Minea Sončan Mihajlović and Jelena Marković recognized the museum value in the heritage, tradition, and experiences that the place holds, along with the stories and anecdotes it tells.
With a 102-year tradition, this is the oldest still-operating craft workshop in Slovenia specializing in the creation of stamps and engraving. The workshop preserves the tradition of handcrafting stamps from high-quality Slovenian recycled wood. It maintains a rich heritage of knowledge passed down through generations, and the workshop hides many interesting anecdotes, which the owners are always happy to share with visitors.
Today, the workshop is a living museum, preserving its 100-year legacy.
