In the center of Ljubljana lies a treasure trove of unique goldsmith craftsmanship – Zlato runo, the atelier and shop of Christoph Steidl Porenta. His handcrafted works of art transcend time and trends – they are timeless symbols of masterful precision, elegance, and exceptional craftsmanship.
Steidl Porenta is not just a jeweler but also a restorer and creator who, with his mastery of traditional techniques, crafts rings, necklaces, brooches, earrings, chalices, swords, cutlery, liturgical objects, and sculptures. His works adorn the cathedral in Munich, the Technical Museum in Bonn, and church treasuries worldwide.
After honing his skills in a Benedictine monastery in Würzburg, he chose Ljubljana as his new home in the 1990s and opened Zlato runo – a place where the tradition and art of precious metals come to life in unique creations, appreciated by connoisseurs and collectors worldwide.
