ZRC SAZU - Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts

ZRC SAZU is one of the leading research and educational centres in Slovenia and ranks among the most prominent academic institutions in Central and SE Europe.

More than 300 associates are organized into 18 independent but coordinated and interconnected institutes. Work at ZRC SZU is distinctly interdisciplinary and based on cooperation, complementation, and synergy. The diverse research areas can be summed up in the study of cultural, social, and natural phenomena, processes, and practices.

ZRC Atrium is in charge of promotional activities and often hosts events, meetinga and presentations that focus on art and science as well as on the research work. Besides that, an array of other events – from symposiums to children’s workshops or receptions, take place in its premises. With the ZRC Atrium, the Research Centre also attracts the general public, especially by holding cultural events such as literary evenings and classical music concerts. The popular LP bar resides in the hallway leading to the atrium which adds to the flexibility of the venue.

With its glass roof, arcade halls and massive arches, the renovated premises of the ZRC Atrium are also attractive for evening wgatherings. The Atrium is heated and equipped with suitable AV equipment. It can accommodate up to 200 visitors and can also be rented by similar institutions from Slovenia and abroad.
