Tour of Slovenia
It was first held in May 1993, featuring eight stages in its inaugural edition. Today, the Tour of Slovenia is one of the most recognisable sports and tourism events in the country, bringing some of the world’s top cyclists to Slovenian roads. Since 2017, the race has been broadcast live to a multi-million audience on Eurosport and Televizija Slovenija.

Franciscan Church

Galerija Idrijske čipke (Idrian Lace Sales Gallery)
All the products on offer are designed by Irma Vončina, a renowned designer and master of traditional Slovenian bobbin-lace making. Vončina's most talked-about works include a pair of lace gloves and a decorative lace handkerchief given as an official gift by Slovenia to the Japanese royal court on the occasion of Princess Sayako's wedding in 2006, and a set of Idrija lace baby bedding made to fit a cradle presented as a gift by Slovenia to the British royal family when Prince George Alexander Luis was born.
