Šiška heyday/Šiška Cultural Quarter presents itself
It has built such a strong identity that it’s mentioned in musical hits, a feature film was made about it, and it boasts the largest Slovenian brewery as well as a tenacious tribe of graffiti artists. Formerly a suburb of Ljubljana, Šiška is now a blend of urban openness with the local pride of a village. Šiška Cultural Quarter Collaborators on the project: Mladi zmaji Šiška, Kino Šiška, Computer Museum, Museum of Recent and Contemporary History of Slovenia, Studio Biskvit, Hotel One66, Cona, KD Rajd, KUD Ljud, Railway Museum of Slovenian Railways, Pekinpah, Vodnik Homestead, zavod Divja misel, Animateka and Ljubljana Tourism.

Prešeren Day, Slovenian Cultural Holiday
Particularly well known are his sonnets and the poem A Toast, adopted as Slovenia's national anthem. Over the first week of February, Ljubljana will host a series of open-air concerts by singing choirs and vocal groups. The latter will perform at locations where Prešeren lived, spent his time and met people.
