The stunning setting of one of Slovenia’s most beautiful Renaissance castles comes alive with exceptional music, refined culture, and top-quality cuisine. You are warmly invited!

Šmartno and Bogenšperk Castle will once again come to life this year with the 11th Bogenšperk Festival, offering a rich and diverse programme.

The festival will open on 30 May with a performance by the charming Primorska-born singer Gregor Ravnik, an academically trained opera vocalist who now creates his own pop music. The lineup will also include names such as Marko Škugor, Kvatropirci, Siddharta, Orlek, Vlado Kreslin and Mali bogovi, among others.

More than 20 events are planned, including several pop concerts as well as choral and classical performances. Food and drink enthusiasts won’t want to miss the two Flavours from the Castle events, or the festival’s most popular attraction to date – Šmartno Cooks, returning this August.

The Bogenšperk Castle Gallery will also be lively, hosting a visual arts exhibition by acclaimed painter and printmaker Lojze Adamlje in June, followed by Austrian artist Andreas Dworak in July, and works by academic painter Nuša Smolič on display in August.
