Lina Rica: We Are Home

This dynamic light installation raises questions about public space, belonging and community, and addresses the idea of pacifism and transnationality. As a site-specific project, the work fits well in the context of the role and importance of Metelkova, as in an era of neoliberal capitalism that privileges capital over people and encourages gentrification, such autonomous zones remain valuable oases of freedom and community.

The project stands as a symbol of openness and creativity within a defined space, demonstrating that art not only mirrors reality, but also plays an active role in shaping it.
