Ljubljana's festive lights switch-on event

The most wonderful time of the year begins in the very heart of Ljubljana! Join us for the official switch-on of the city’s festive lights, when thousands of sparkling decorations will illuminate the streets and fill the city with a true spirit of joy and togetherness.

The celebration will take place next to the Prešeren Monument in Ljubljana’s central square, where we’ll count down to the magical moment together. Following a short festive ceremony and an address by the Mayor of Ljubljana, all of the city’s holiday lights will be turned on simultaneously marking the start of a December full of warmth, laughter and light.
