    Krekov trg 10, Ljubljana

The University of Ljubljana's Centre for Slovenian as a Second/Foreign Language runs a "survival" language course offering an opportunity to get to know the basics of the Slovenian language and some common and useful expressions which can make a stay of a foreigner in Slovenia more pleasant.

The course is designed as a relaxed and friendly first encounter with Slovenian. Participants will learn a few basics about the language, practise the pronunciation of some typical Slovenian words, and pick up simple everyday phrases that can come in handy while exploring Ljubljana.

It is perfect for tourists, travellers, business visitors and anyone curious enough to try saying more than just "hvala". No previous knowledge of Slovenian is needed - just bring a pen, an open mind, and a bit of good humour.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to use a few useful Slovenian expressions in everyday situations, from greeting locals to ordering food and drinks in a café or restaurant.

The course takes place every Wednesday from 17:00 to 18:30 at Krekov trg 10. Participants will be welcomed on arrival by a member of the Tourist Information Centre team, while the course itself will be led by a lecturer from the Centre for Slovenian as a Second/Foreign Language.
