The Blueberry Festival

The event will take place in two parts. In the fair section, which will start at 9:00 and end at 18:00, the focus will be on stalls with a blueberry theme, offering all sorts of goodies made from this delightful fruit, along with a children's program and entertainment. Kids will have access to a carousel, and there will be a proper folk festival on the main stage.

In the multipurpose space of OŠ dr. Ivana Korošca Borovnica, you'll have the opportunity to visit the traditional lace exhibition by the Punkelj Lace Section of the Cultural Society Borovnica. This year's exhibition is themed around the once-famous Borovnica Viaduct. Under the guidance of interpretive guides, you can also explore the Borovnica Viaduct Theme Park, which was once Europe's largest double-track stone-brick viaduct. Take a stroll along the memorial path and climb up to the observation platform, offering beautiful views of the Borovnica Basin, the Ljubljana Marshes, and its hilly hinterland.

In the evening program, taking place from 19:00 until three in the morning on Sunday, there will be two stages to entertain the visitors. The national-folk stage will feature performances by:

For the 2023 Blueberry Festival, you won't even need to cook because the local restaurants will provide a rich and affordable selection. Among other delights, Master Chef Slovenia 2022, Luka Novak, will pamper your taste buds, and you'll also have the opportunity to taste top-notch wines and excellent craft beers, just like last year.
