The circular path leads along the slopes of the former Bogenšperk estate and connects five castles: Bogenšperk, Črni potok, Lihtenberk, Selo and Slatna.

Bogenšperk Public Institute, in cooperation with the Municipality of Šmartno pri Litiji and Litija Library, invites you to the traditional Valvasor Hike.

On this 11-kilometre circular hike, participants will discover the outskirts of the former Bogenšperk estate and its lesser-known castle stories. The route will take them past Bogenšperk Castle, the former Črni Potok manor, now home to the Dom Tisje care home, the former Sela manor, and the remains of the Slatna and Lihtenberk mansions. Litija Library will once again enrich the route with additional content along the way.

The hike takes approximately four hours. At the meeting point, participants will be able to sign up for a hot meal, which will be served after their return to the castle at the tavern on the castle terrace.
