Traffic Strings group was founded in 2005 by Romanian violinist Lucian Moraru, who studied at the Music Academy in Bucharest and further refined his skills in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The name of the ensemble reflects their musical journey through various genres and periods.

The group's repertoire ranges from classical works, from the Baroque to the 20th century, to jazz, tango, pop, and original compositions. Traffic Strings has released eight albums, with three of them being released last year, focusing on jazz, Romanian classical music, and a blend of Baroque and tango.
