Discover the World of Comics in Izar’s Studio

Creative Ljubljana Striparna Stripolis 4 2025 Primoz Lukezic Ljubljana Tourism

Viva Creativa: ink and stories – step into Stripolis, the comic studio of Izar Lunaček – one of the most dynamic comic artists of his generation.

Sink into a cozy armchair and let Izar guide you through his creative world. He will walk you around his studio, introduce you to the history of comics worldwide and in Ljubljana, and showcase his own works. You’ll even get the chance to try classic tools for creating legendary comic stories yourself. Discover the process of creating comics and take home your very own unique comic motif.

For enthusiasts, it’s a chance to relive memories of your favorite comics or dive into conversation with Izar – a philosopher, painter, and literary connoisseur. Explore the comics that captivated readers across former Yugoslavia and discover the techniques of great Slovenian artists such as Tomaž Lavrič, Zoran Smiljanić, and others.

Yes, you read that right – Izar Lunaček is many things at once: comic artist, illustrator, painter, and thinker. He regularly participates in workshops, symposiums, and international comic festivals, and is the driving force behind Tinta Festival, Slovenia’s leading annual event dedicated to comics.

As a grand finale, Izar will create a quick live sketch before your eyes – the perfect keepsake to take home or turn into a postcard for a friend.
