The charming Jakopič Promenade, a picturesque pathway named after one of Slovenia’s greatest Impressionist painters, has adorned the city since the 1930s. Designed as part of Jože Plečnik’s visionary urban planning, the promenade embodies a fusion of art and nature, while offering a peaceful retreat for both locals and visitors.

It also features an enchanting open-air gallery dedicated to fascinating artworks, and nearby is the restored “Tičistan”, which provides shelter for birds and gives visitors the opportunity to feed them.

Towards its end, the path leads you to the magnificent Tivoli Mansion, which stretches along the foot of Rožnik hill. Just before entering the mansion, you will be captivated by a beautiful fountain with a staircase adorned with the famous cast-iron sculptures of tongueless dogs – certainly worth seeing.
