'Taste Ljubljana' Culinary Tour
To learn about their ingredients and their source, you will visit the Central Market and take a good quarter of an hour's easy walk to Krakovo, an area of gardens traditionally occupied by the local vegetable growers, who still supply their produce to some of the stalls at the Central Market today. Your guide will also show you the historical city centre's locations where food trading and culinary-related activities used to take place in the past and take you to the top of Nebotičnik, once the tallest building in Central Europe and today one of the city's most prominent icons.

The WOW installation
The WOW installation was designed to stand in front of Slovenia’s pavilion at Expo 2015 in Milan. It was created by Ljubljana Tourism in collaboration with city utilities company VOKA SNAGA and Ljubljana City Museum and Galleries (MGML). The delegation of the European Union pavilion at Expo 2015 was so enthusiastic about the installation that we agreed to move it in front of the EU pavilion, close to the Tree of Life, the official Expo 2015 installation.

Ljubljana Receives the Silver Hospitality Award
In late August, a three-member expert panel from the Tourist Association of Slovenia evaluated the city. They assessed the quality of tourist offerings, hospitality, tidiness, quality of life for residents and visitors, and the city's efforts in environmental protection and preservation of natural and cultural heritage.

Emonan House

In the southeastern corner of the former Roman city of Emona, on the so-called Jakopič Garden—named after the Slovenian Impressionist painter Rihard Jakopič, who had his studio nearby—visitors can view the remains of one of Emona’s residential buildings.

My alternative Ljubljana
During the daytime, it’s an excellent café which also offers an interesting programme of social events, lectures, and panel and public discussions. Also, it’s the only comic shop in the city centre – and (of particular interest to me), a rich source of Slovenian craft beer. Right! We’re heading towards the famous and always surprising Metelkova quarter, but there’s another stop on the way… The Old Power Station Ljubljana went electric in 1898, and for that, Ljubljana City Power Station was constructed.
