Ljubljana receives the Best of Cities sustainable tourism award at ITB Berlin
It is the continuation of the Green Supply Chains ongoing project from 2015, where the Ljubljana Tourism collaborates with the City of Ljubljana Department for Environmental Protection, the Association for Sustainable Tourism GoodPlace and the Cooperative for Rural Development Jarina to connect the producers of local food and the hotel and restaurant managers, encouraging them to use 100 % locally grown ingredients in their kitchens.

Beginnings and Construction In 1904, under the guidance of the esteemed Croatian architect Josip Vancaš, construction began on the first city hotel and the largest post-earthquake urban building in Ljubljana, measuring almost 100 meters in length. Built in the Secessionist style, it was completed very quickly, in 18 months.
