New developments to arrive at the Ljubljana Exhibition & Convention Centre in autumn 2008
Some of the advantages to be offered by the new facilities, in a summary: the “all under one roof” concept; halls connected to the ground floor by escalators, city centre location, just a few minutes from the bus and railway station, 100 parking spaces within the GR grounds and over 1,500 parking spaces in the surrounding area, modern look and state-of-the-art multimedia equipment, 4 halls of different sizes: from 108 to 212 m² or a fully open space, the possibility of combining the halls into a maximum capacity of 500 seats theatre style, 350 seats classroom style or 138 seats U-shaped; a new function space for catering, receptions and exhibitions able to welcome up to 350 participants for a standing reception or 250 participants in the banquet set up; the possibility of using a special entrance from the LECC courtyard, which is especially attractive for evening events.

Four Points by Sheraton checking in to Ljubljana
Four Points by Sheraton Ljubljana Mons has a convenient location at 10 minutes from the city centre and 15 minutes from the international airport, with an extensive green area nearby. A lively summer of congresses in Ljubljana
The annual travel convention by ABTA, the Association of British Travel Agents, taking place at the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre will bring 450 British travel agents to our city. Ljubljana will also be hosting 600 participants of the Conference of the European Council for High Ability - ECHA, 500 participants of 26 Annual Conference of the European Association of Labour Economists - EALE, 700 participants of Couples for Christ Conference and 600 participants of the conference of the International Federation of Professional Abortion and Contraception Associates.

110 years of Grand Hotel Union
Over the decades, the Grand Union Café and Union Hall have also served as the centrepoint of the city’s cultural, political and social life. Well-known Slovenian intellectuals, artists and traders frequented the café to share ideas. In addition to painters Rihard Jakopič, Matija Jama and Maksim Gaspari, the café was the meeting place for writers such as Ivan Tavčar, Oton Zupančič, Josip Vidmar, and many others.

2018 will be a record congress year for Ljubljana
A particularly active year is ahead of the two biggest convention centres in the city, Cankarjev dom – CD Congress Centre and GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre. Together they will host over 35 international congresses, with two expecting over 2,000 attendees.

When using any of the five coach terminals for dropping off and/or picking up guests it is necessary to book your slot in advance. Tourists can get off the bus in the city centre and set off on a sightseeing tour, after which their bus can be parked for several hours in the P+R car park.
