Ljubljana center has plenty of bars and restaurants with lovely terraces or gardens and I’m sure you’ll find and enjoy them. Since the options in the center are so awesome, there are also some places usually missed when searching for a place for drinks and good company.

Try the unique and delicious Ljubljana cake and satisfy your sweet tooth

It’s also a part of the Taste Ljubljana project, which brings us traditional Ljubljana dishes made from local ingredients and is available in selected restaurants. I recommend taking the Taste Ljubljana food tour, where you can try many of those dishes and learn something along the way. Remember, there are many other desserts besides Ljubljana cake, be sure to check them out, however, the cake is truly my favourite.

We have the new taste of Ljubljana 2021!

The contestants had to use at least three of the listed ingredients in their respective dishes, and were free to build upon them according to their own inspiration, whereby the dish had to be achievable and repeatable both at home and in a restaurant kitchen. The jury also rated the harmony of flavours, presentation and the story behind the dish. On her Dragon Plate, Brina Robinik Kobal combined roast beef with wine sauce, pumpkin puree and a raviolo stuffed with cottage cheese, caramelised onion, apple and walnuts.
