These, like for instance the new water treatment plant in the former industrial facilities nearby, are refocusing the area around Ljubljanica river towards sustainable development and preservation of its stunning natural beauty.

You will start off by discovering Ljubljana’s eastern suburbs. Once you cross the Ljubljanica in Zalog, the urban environment increasingly gives way to countryside. Continue through the outskirts of Ljubljana to the point where the Ljubljanica flows into the Sava and then follow the river from here all the way to Litija.

Lokacija The Trnovski pristan embankment stretches across the riverside area between the Prule Bridge and the point where the Gradaščica channel empties into the river Ljubljanica.
