The most beloved and frequently performed opera of all time returns to the stage of Ljubljana Opera in March 2026 with a new production directed by Frank Van Laecke.

La Traviata presents a well-known love story and a drama of powerful emotions, masterfully crafted by Verdi through psychological depth, intimate suffering, and a critique of social conditions.

Before the premiere, you are warmly invited to a historical overview of the opera’s performances on our stages, followed by a discussion with past and present creators of the production, hosted by Sonja Kerin Krek and Dr. Gašper Troha.
