ART VITAL – 12 Years of the Ulay / Marina Abramović Duo

As partners in life, love, and art, Marina and Ulay translated everything they felt into performance. Experience one of the most groundbreaking performances of contemporary art, performed by Katarina Stegnar and Primož Bezjak. AAA-AAA is a raw, tense, and extremely physically demanding exploration of the limits of the body and of relationship - a performance that reveals how two artists test, confront, and at the same time connect with one another through screaming, proximity, and endurance.

Reperformances are a living part of the exhibition ART VITAL – 12 Years of the Ulay / Marina Abramović Duo. Through them, iconic works are brought back to life in front of the audience, reminding us that the history of performance art continues only through the body and the presence of the performer.

Within the ART VITAL project, the performance is carried out by Katarina Stegnar and Primož Bezjak, who, as part of their preparation, participated in the Cleaning the House workshop at the Marina Abramović Institute in Karies, Greece. The five-day intensive workshop, conducted in complete silence and without food, phones, or clocks, strengthens focus, awareness, endurance, and concentration—foundations essential to the execution of reperformances.
