Ljubljana’s streets, squares, parks and hidden urban corners transform each year into an open-air stage for art, imagination and unexpected encounters. For more than two decades, the international street theatre festival Ana Desetnica has brought the vibrant pulse of contemporary street art to the city, inviting visitors to discover Ljubljana in a different way.

The festival presents a diverse programme of Slovenian and international artists whose work brings together street theatre, contemporary circus, dance, music, clowning, physical theatre and other innovative performance practices. For a few days, public spaces are transformed into stages where artists blur the boundaries between performers and audiences, drawing passers-by into the action.

Visitors of all generations can look forward to entertaining, visually engaging and often interactive performances that delight with acrobatics, humour, imagination and creativity. The festival offers both light-hearted family-friendly content and artistic projects that encourage reflection and raise new questions about the world around us.

A distinctive feature of Ana Desetnica is its openness and accessibility. It brings art directly to the people and fills the city streets with energy, surprises and unforgettable experiences. Year after year, the festival confirms that public spaces can also be places of creativity, connection and shared cultural experiences.

With free performances and a relaxed festival atmosphere, Ana Desetnica remains one of Ljubljana’s most popular summer cultural events and a unique opportunity to experience outstanding street arts in the heart of the city.
