Argonaut Festival

The festival is a vibrant mix of fun, socialising, laughter, and a variety of experiences – from music and cuisine to sports. As the scent of summer begins to fill the air, the festival invites you under the starry sky of the opening ceremony, to the Old Street (Stara cesta), where the aromas of diverse world cuisines mingle, music fills the air, and colourful lights brighten up the Night in Vrhnika.

In a grand return, the Argonauts arrive in Vrhnika once more – with Jason, Medea, and the famous ship Argo, which also adorns the town’s coat of arms. The multi-day Argonaut Festival celebrates the rich heritage of our town and draws in numerous visitors from near and far every year.
