Battle of the Boatmen 2025

Members of the River Captains' Association (Društvo rečnih kapitanov) have adapted this historic event for modern times – yet the competitors will still have to prove themselves on traditional wooden boats known as brodniki.

The event will be enriched by a cultural programme for both adults and children, as well as a curated selection of local food and drinks. For the best atmosphere – and the coolest shade in the city – head to the River Captains' Club (Klub rečnih kapitanov) at Trnovo Beach.
