Fairy Tales Beneath the Streetlights

For many years, the festival has revealed different faces of the city through the art of kamišibaj storytelling. This year’s inspiration comes from Ljubljana’s streetlights – quiet companions of the city streets that illuminate the evenings and witness the stories unfolding around them. Beneath their glow, new worlds of imagination come to life, where storytelling, illustration and creativity intertwine.

Kamišibaj artists will create unique experiences for children and adults alike, inviting audiences to see the city from a different perspective and discover its hidden corners and everyday details, which can reveal new stories when viewed through the eyes of imagination.
