Ljubljana will host the FIBA U20 EuroBasket 2026 from 11 to 19 July 2026, bringing together Europe’s most talented young basketball players. Sixteen national teams will compete for the continental title at Arena Stožice, including Slovenia’s national team.

The FIBA U20 EuroBasket is regarded as one of the most important youth basketball tournaments in Europe and a showcase for the future stars of the sport. Many players who have competed at the tournament have gone on to successful careers in the EuroLeague, NBA, and other top international competitions.

Over nine days of competition, Ljubljana will become the centre of European basketball. Fans will have the opportunity to watch the continent’s best young talents compete in group-stage games and knockout rounds, culminating in the championship final. Slovenia will begin the tournament in Group D alongside the Czech Republic, Israel, and Romania.

In addition to top-level sporting action, the championship will bring together fans, scouts, club representatives, and basketball enthusiasts from across Europe, offering a unique opportunity to experience the future of European basketball live.
