Gingerbread hearts hold a special place in Slovenian cultural heritage and have accompanied love stories for centuries. Traditionally, they are given as a symbol of love, affection, and loyalty, with every detail carrying its own meaning.

At the workshop, you will learn the symbolism of colours on gingerbread hearts: yellow represents infinity, green stands for growth and development, and red symbolizes love and passion. A special place is also given to the mirror, which often appears on a gingerbread heart – when a girl saw her reflection in it, it meant that the boy who gave her the heart held her in his own heart.

Under the guidance of an experienced master, you will create your own unique gingerbread heart while discovering the romantic stories that this beautiful tradition carries. The workshop is designed for everyone who believes in the power of symbols, craftsmanship, and love.

The workshop costs €10 per person. Workshop + tasting (honey liqueur, gingerbread, honey) costs €15 per person.
