Ljubljana and Central Slovenia

From 2 to 7 October 2026, Ljubljana and eleven neighbouring municipalities across central Slovenia and the Gorenjska region will host the UEC Road European Championships, the largest cycling event ever staged in independent Slovenia.

Over six days, more than 800 cyclists from over 50 countries will compete in 14 races across multiple categories.

The championship routes link Ljubljana with historic towns including Škofja Loka, Kranj and Kamnik before reaching the demanding finishing circuits near Možjanca, where Europe's best riders will battle for the continental titles. Spectators can enjoy the races free of charge while experiencing the atmosphere of one of Europe's premier road cycling events.
