Jože Plečnik's love for wood was instilled in him by his father, a trained carpenter, who wished for his son to continue the craft tradition.

The architect masterfully combined wood with stone and metal, working closely with craftsmen whom he trained to bring his visions to life. One of the most important collaborations was with master carver Maks Bergant (1947–1957).

Details of this creative partnership will be revealed by curator Ana Porok during the guided tour of the exhibition, where exceptional artworks will also be showcased.
