ART VITAL – 12 Years of the Ulay / Marina Abramović Duo

Reperformances are a living part of the exhibition ART VITAL – 12 Years of the Ulay / Marina Abramović Duo. Through them, iconic works come to life again in front of the audience, reminding us that the history of performance art continues only through the body and the presence of the performer. Work Relation examines the dynamics of collaboration, endurance, and the way a relationship between two people shapes the work they do together.
Within the ART VITAL project, the performance is carried out by Katarina Stegnar and Primož Bezjak, who, as part of their preparation, took part in the Cleaning the House workshop at the Marina Abramović Institute in Karies, Greece.
The five-day intensive workshop, conducted in complete silence and without food, phones, or clocks, strengthens focus, awareness, endurance, and concentration—foundations that are essential for the execution of reperformances.
