The Trail Along the Iška River – Okljuk is a somewhat longer route (13 km) but a beautiful trail through a lesser-known, naturally rich part of the Ljubljana Marshes. On this stretch, the Iška forms picturesque meanders as its channel gently flows toward the Ljubljanica River. The trail links the Iški vintgar gorge, where the Iška runs through a narrow canyon, to its outlet near the village of Lipe.

The predominantly flat trail follows gravel cart tracks, woodland paths, and meadow edges. It’s suitable for both walkers and recreational cyclists, especially those who enjoy observing nature and seeking peace far away from the busy life of the cities and towns.
