The Stožice Centre, inaugurated in August 2010, is a hybrid 182,000 sqm sports complex including a football stadium with 16,038 seats and the multifunctional Stožice Arena, which has a seating capacity for 12,484 visitors. They could be personified as a perfect couple offering a balanced interaction between sports and culture.
Stožice Centre represents the top sports infrastructure in Slovenia and its capital city. Located in a quiet residential district, just 3 km from the city centre and conveniently close to the ring road, the complex, which is also a new city architectural landmark, is easy reachable by public transports from the downtown area. Since its opening, Stožice Centre has hosted a variety of world class sports teams and music artists, and was the setting for the finals of the EuroBasket 2013.
The Arena, apart from being suitable for sport activities, can also be used to stage cultural or entertainment events as well as congresses and business events. The Arena’s stands are divided into "green", "red" and VIP sectors. The latter offers 49 VIP lounges, each with 15 to 20 seats. The VIP lounge features a bar and a total of 137 seats.
