Ljubljana is counting down the last days to the Travel Convention by ABTA
The conference will be attended by cca. 450 delegates, including 25 journalists by leading British media outlets in the field of travel, brought to the event by its main media partner, The Telegraph. The hosts of the conference, Ljubljana and Slovenia, will be presenting their tourist offer to its participants and make sure they enjoy their stay. On Sunday, 21 September the Travel Convention participants will be able to explore Slovenia and its capital city by attending optional trips to Bled and Postojna, a guided walking tour of Ljubljana and various sports activities.

Only 12 finalists were selected, of whom only three were European. Particularly praised by the jury were Ljubljana's active promotion of sustainable mobility; organized procurement and distribution of food through the Green Supply Chains; implementation of the national green policy (the first gold certificate in the Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism); the use of qualitative indicators for sustainable development as recommended by the OECD and the efforts made in managing tourist flows and in creating an attractive tourist offer outside the city center and in the region of Central Slovenia.
