Family holidays in Ljubljana

Ljubljana is a safe and relaxed city with plenty of pedestrian areas and numerous playgrounds for children. Many restaurants offer children's menus and there are excellent confectioneries. There is a wide array of family-friendly accommodations. Organised child care in combination with fun and educational experience is provided in the MiniCity Ljubljana theme park and the Mala ulica Family Centre. 

Ljubljana is a child-friendly city

There are regular events and activities for children going on in museums and also in the streets and squares if the weather is nice. Many of them are free-of-charge. Public urban transport is free-of-charge for children up to the age of 6. The Ljubljana Card (a tourist card) is less expensive for children aged 6-14. It provides the entry to all main city attractions, a funicular ride to the Ljubljana Castle and a ride in a tourist boat.

Fun experience for the entire family

When in Ljubljana, don’t skip a visit to the Ljubljana Zoo. The Museum of Illusions and House of Experiments offer an ideal combination of fun and inspiration. For relaxation, visit swimming pools of the Atlantis Water City, and if you need some adrenaline there is the WOOP! Trampoline Park. Families with teenagers are recommended to try out one of several escape rooms or a sup ride on the Ljubljanica River.
