Thirteen Recipients of the Slovenian Congress Ambassador Title 2023
The Slovenian Ambassador Programme has been running since 2019 with the support of Ljubljana Tourism, Slovenian Convention Bureau and Slovenian Tourist Board, and 14 partners from 6 destination clubs. At the end of September 2023, the seven-member Slovenian Congress Ambassador Programme Committee, composed of representatives of destination clubs and the Slovenian Convention Bureau, confirmed this year’s 13 winners of the honorary title.

Fruit Route
The route, accessible by car, is well signposted and marked with tourist information boards. The area alongside the route is crossed by several themed hiking trails, such as the Bilberry Trail, the Chestnut Trail and the Mali Vrh Forest Trail.

Parking
The system enables timely booking of time slots for using pick-up and drop-off points near the city centre. This way tourists can get off the bus in the city centre and set off on a sightseeing tour, after which their bus can be parked for several hours in the covered car park at the Stožice Sports Centre.

Ljubljana Tourism used the results to enhance the Visit Ljubljana website by adding a filter to search for facilities based on accessibility criteria (mobility, visual, and hearing impairments). Additionally, as part of the project, accessibility at the Tourist Information Centre (TIC) was improved – existing ramps and free electric wheelchair chargers were complemented with a mobile induction loop and headsets for the hearing impaired.
