A relaxing rowing trip down the river Ljubljanica, which takes you from the village of Podpeč to the Ljubljana city centre, across the entire width of the Ljubljana Marshes Nature Park, can be great fun for both experienced rowers and those who have never rowed a boat before.

The river Ljubljanica, flowing across an endless mosaic of marshy meadows and fields intersected with hedgerows, ditches and small streams, is so calm and mild that you will easily go with its gentle flow and enjoy observing the plant and wildlife in the river and along its banks.

  • The trip is suitable for children over the age of 10. If you are travelling with children, it is possible to rent a kayak for two persons.
  • All participants must know how to swim.
  • Make sure to bring along a swimsuit and a towel.
