Ljubljana is an open, tolerant, and friendly city
In the last few years, we have showcased our tourism product for LGBT visitors in Berlin and London, and the British gay magazine Attitude has listed Slovenia as one of the most desirable honeymoon destinations for British gay couples. We attend Berlin's Gay Pride, and we are delighted to support interesting and innovative projects such as the PinkWeek, an annual event held over several days during which a travel package combining visits to places of interest in Slovenia with culinary pleasures and lively entertainment is offered to LGBT visitors and their friends by Ljubljana's travel agency Imperial Luxury Travel Solutions.

Ljubljana as the Role-Model for Green Cities in 2016
The European Commission’s committee awarded the prestigious title of European Green Capital 2016 to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, since the sustainable development of the city was the most significant one in the shortest time possible. Already in 2007 with the creation of the Vision Ljubljana 2025 we have embarked on the path of sustainable city development and are pursuing set goals within its framework – ensuring quality of life for all the residents of our clean, safe, green and orderly city

Jan Oršič becomes newest member of the Board of Directors at ICCA
There was also a strong focus on sustainability, which was addressed both through the prism of social inclusion and accessibility, and the environmental and social impacts of the events. The ICCA Congress is one of the most important events in the global meetings industry. This year it had a record attendance, with more than 1500 delegates from all over the world.

Ljubljana Convention Bureau part of the inaugural meeting of the Slovenian SITE Chapter
A formal petition that will be sent to the heads of SITE was also presented, highlighting one of the most important goals of the chapter – to increase the awareness of incentive experiences as an important tourism product for Slovenia. Cankarjev dom
Schedule The box office is open weekdays from 11:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 20:00, Saturdays from 11:00 to 13:00, and during the hour prior to each performance Location The Cankarjev dom was a subsequent addition to Ravnikar's original plans for the Trg republike square. In order to prevent the building from being too tall, most of the halls were built under the ground. The above-the-ground part consists of three wings, a taller one in the middle and two lower ones on the sides.

The Northern City Park Navje
In the 18th century, the sites of the park and the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre next to it were occupied by a cemetery. In 1936, most of the graves were moved to their present location, the Žale Cemetery, and the remains of a number of famous Slovenians were moved to what was to become the Navje Memorial Park.
